Dr. Keehn is a licensed registered nurse and licensed psychologist. The focus of Dr. Keehn’s patient care is the establishment of mental and physical health, wellbeing, and lifestyle balance for clients of all ages and presentations. Lokahi Life Center, PLLC is a nursing consultation and general clinical psychology practice designed to help people achieve their highest level of functioning as individuals, family members, and members of the community. This is often accomplished when a person becomes aware of their strengths and weaknesses through formal assessments and/or therapy and by learning of ways to improve their mood, change their thinking patterns, and improve daily performance. Through the formation of a collaborative treatment plan, Dr. Keehn can assist you to find healthier and more effective ways of coping that fit your lifestyle and are easy for you to implement every day.

As a registered nurse, Dr. Keehn has held certifications such as Critical Care Registered Nurse, was an American Heart Association adult and pediatric advanced life support instructor, and has completed an advanced practice degree in nursing with a practicum at Children’s Medical Center. She is currently employed as a clinical nursing instructor at Texas Woman’s University. She has assisted with numerous clinical research trials in Houston and Dallas area medical centers, is a published author in the health care field, a seasoned teacher of nursing at the undergraduate level, and a compassionate caregiver to her patients.

As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Keehn has completed numerous clinical training hours with supervisors associated with the UTSW and Baylor Medical Centers. She completed doctoral-level research at the TWU Stroke Center Dallas and is a published author in the field of psychology. Currently, Dr. Keehn is the Assistant Training Director for the Donaldson Wellness Center in Waxahachie, Texas, which is a nationally-based, APPIC training program. Through that program, she manages and provides clinical instruction, supervision, and mentoring to bachelor, masters, doctoral, and post-doctoral trainees.

Dr. Keehn brings a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and comprehensive approach to the care of all patients.
